Hey everyone! We have a bit of news to share with you all. Some of it is a good and some of it is bad.

 

The Bad:
We've been working on restoring access as well as improving our recovery process. During that work, we discovered a major oversight on our part. We realized that we didn't have any scheduled automated backups configured.

Backups have been something that have been on our list for awhile. Though, we were pretty focused on getting bug fixes and features out, it kept getting pushed down the priority list. That's ultimately our mistake and one that has come to bite us back. 

Thankfully, we did have a backup that I made awhile back when I was debugging an issue. Though, it is not a very recent backup. It is from Feb 28th. We will be restoring all accounts created post Feb 28th, but the character data will all be restored from the Feb 28th backup.

We understand this is a significant rollback even for an alpha environment. To help players get back to where they were, we'll be providing compensation once the server is back online.

 

The Good:

We'll be back online Sunday evening. We've also updated the website with our Alpha Roadmap so you can clearly see what remains before alpha is complete and where development is headed.

Most importantly, we've already begun improving our backup and recovery process, including scheduled backups, to ensure we're in a much better position moving forward.
